Virtual Penguin Data Club, Fall 2020

I am currently recruiting undergraduate students interested in gaining data science and analytical skills. “Penguin Data Club” is a weekly meeting for undergrads at the University of Cincinnati. Working in collaboration with Dr. Katie Kalafut and the Cincinnati Zoo, we will dig into the social lives of Little Blue Penguins. During Fall 2020, all meetings will be virtual

This is an opportunity for undergrad students to learn about data analysis, coding in R, social network analysis, and of course, penguins! We will meet virtually once a week (2 hours) and depending on whether the student is volunteering or working towards research credit or capstone credit, more work will occur on the student’s own schedule (determined on a case by case basis).

Previous experience with data analysis or coding is not required — students should be motivated and excited to learn. Please bring a laptop to each meeting and come ready to code!
