I started “Penguin Data Club” this fall at the University of Cincinnati. Working in collaboration with Dr. Katie Kalafut and the Cincinnati Zoo, we will dig into the social lives of Little Blue Penguins.
This is an opportunity for undergrad students to volunteer 2 hours / week to learn about data analysis, coding in R, social network analysis, and of course, penguins!
Penguin Data Club currently meets every Monday from 2:00-4:00pm in Rieveschl 734D.
Previous experience with data analysis or coding is not required — students should be motivated and excited to learn. New volunteers are welcome to attend, but please notify Dr. Hobson (elizabeth.hobson@uc.edu) before attending to make sure we have enough space for you in the conference room.
Please bring a laptop to each meeting and come ready to code!
