UC undergrads wanted for penguin project

This project is a volunteer research opportunity for University of Cincinnati undergraduate students in Dr. Liz Hobson’s lab.

A group of students will work collaboratively together using an existing dataset on penguin movements to analyze their social relationships. The work will involve data cleaning and management, data analysis and coding in R, and social network analysis. Coding skills are not required (you will all learn and trouble-shoot coding together) but an interest in coding and data analysis is essential.

Groups will meet once a week for 2 hours to work together on data analysis.

The goal of this project is for students to be comfortable with basic coding and network analysis and have generated basic social network analyses by December 2019.

If you are interested in this kind of research experience, I will likely be running similar groups each semester. I may also have other opportunities to get involved with the lab. Please fill out this form if you are interested.
